Artist Bio

Sonz is a self-taught artist and community curator whose work blends recycled materials, Salvadorian heritage, and vibrant dreamscapes. Through her personal brand SONZWORLD and as co-owner of JAMM Gallery, she creates intentional spaces that celebrate creativity, culture, and collective power. Born from a deep connection to heritage and community, SONZ’s work explores the intersections of resilience, identity, and imagination. Her practice transforms recycled materials into layered canvases that honor both the earth and the stories of those around her. In 2024, SONZ co-founded JAMM Gallery, an independently run and community-built art space in New Jersey. Beyond her personal practice, SONZ leads SONZWORLD—an immersive platform that extends her artistic vision into experiential pop-ups, exhibitions, and collaborative projects. Together, these ventures embody her mission: to make art accessible, meaningful, and transformative for audiences worldwide.

About Sonz

Artist Statement:

My art is an extension of self—an intuitive, layered language that speaks in color, texture, and symbolism. I create to explore the harmony between opposing forces: chaos and calm, past and present, softness and power. My Salvadorian heritage runs through everything I make, grounding me in ancestral memory while allowing me to reimagine what’s possible.

I create layered, mixed media dreamscapes that invite the viewer to pause, get lost in detail, and find meaning in the unexpected. Every piece is made with intention—guided by color, texture, and feeling rather than fixed outcomes, a celebration of joy without agenda. I believe creativity is a birthright and a healing tool. My mission is to create with love, always, and to leave behind beauty that helps future generations feel safe, seen, and inspired to make something of their own.
